With classes being held online, I found that I was doing a lot more sitting throughout the day. I wasn`t walking in between classes, I didn`t get up early to catch a bus, and most days I stayed in sweatpants all day. I`m thankful that I had my dog to get me out of my apartment for his daily walks. Due to the pandemic, I have become more aware of the negative effects of sedentary behaviour. Therefore, I have learnt to incorporate at least one small exercise for each day. This could be simply taking a longer walk with my dog, going for a run outside, following a yoga video on Youtube, or doing some cardio (usually just dancing to some good throwback songs) in my room. I don`t always break a sweat, but just getting my body to move around helps improve my sleep, focus, and energy!
