Affirmations - Take What You Need

An affirmation can be a statement of what you want to see in your life or to define who you want to be. Affirmations can support challenging negative beliefs through priming the brain with positive thoughts, using consistency to create change from within (adapted from the Five Minute Journal).

Below are a few examples of affirmations you can use. Take what you need, leave what you don't, or create something new. Affirmations are unique, though they share the purpose of working for each us.

"It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen." - Muhammad Ali

Affirmations

I will get through this no matter what. I am stronger than I feel.

I am worthy of forgiveness for my mistakes.

I am only human and we all make mistakes. It is okay to stumble.

If I can conceive it and believe it, I can most definitely achieve it.

I love myself enough to consider advice from others.

I will not let obstacles stop me. I will not give up.

I am doing my best. That is enough.

Failure does not define me.

My best can change each day.

I can rest, keeping my head where my feet are.

One day at a time is still success.

Inhale for 4, exhale for 6, repeat.

I give myself permission to slow down.
