Body Project Student Facilitator
The Body Project – University of Manitoba
We would like to invite you to apply to become a student facilitator for the Body Project, a program conducted at the University of Manitoba that is aimed at helping young women feel better about their bodies. The Body Project is a peer-led (i.e., students facilitate workshops for other students) program comprised of 4 x 1-hour workshop sessions that has been found to improve body satisfaction, reduce risk for eating disorders and improve school and social functioning.
To become a student facilitator you must:

Be a full-time student at the University of Manitoba;

Complete the application form (deadline for applications is December 4, 2023);

Be selected for an interview and subsequently selected to be part of this program;

Attend one day of training on January 5, 2024 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m);

Commit to facilitating at least one complete workshop in the winter term 2024 and the fall term 2024;

Female or female identifying student and planning on remaining a full-time student at the University of Manitoba until at least December 2024.
As a student facilitator for the Body Project you will receive:

The one-day training at no cost;

Professional mentoring and support as a workshop facilitator;

An opportunity to build and develop skills transferable to the workforce;

An excellent opportunity to invest in the health and well-being of fellow students.
